Sodium Tripoly-phosphate(STPP)

Properties: White powder; Melting point is 622°C; Easily soluble in water. It has two existing forms: Na5P3O10(anhydrous) and Na5P3O106H2O(crystallisate). Anhydrous Na5P3O10 is capable of absorbing humidity with its aqueous solution being alkalinity and will be hydrolyzed to orth-phosphate. It has strong buffering effects with PH between 4.3 14. It has different bulk density that is low density of 0.35-0.5g/cm3, medium density of 0.51-0.65g/cm3 and high density of 0.66-0.9g/cm3. Usage: Mainly used as synthetic detergent builder; also used as potentiating agent of soap, water softener, tanning agent for leather making, dyeing assistants, peptizing and defloculation agent in oil well drilling mud, an oil contamination resistance agent in paper production, and catalyst of organic synthesis, an effective dispersion agent for suspension solutions of kaolin, magnesium oxide, and calcium carbonate etc. In foodstuff industry it is used as quality improver in the process of canned food, fruit juice drinks, milk products, soya-bean milk etc. to tenderization the meat in canned ham and soften the skin of horsebean in canned horsebean. It is also used as a softener or thickening agent in food industry. Package and storage: In 25Kg or 50 Kg WPP/PE bags. It must be prevented from dampness and water. Don't store it in the open air.
